Eric Devoda passed away on 8/18/2024 at the age of 96 after battling cancer.
The funeral service, officiated by Asthetixl, will take place on 8/24/2024 at Cedar Memorial's Robloxity Office. Following the service, Eric will be interred at Walnut Mound Cemetery. A visitation period will be held from 8/19 to 8/23 at Cedar Memorial of Robloxity.
Born in September 1928 to Jason Devoda and Damara Burks of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Eric led a relatively ordinary life. He attended West Moriona school from 1939 until his graduation in 1952. After completing his studies, Eric began working as a salesman for John Deere, a position he held until 1988. He then pursued a career in professional sports fishing, which he continued until his retirement. Although Eric never married, he had one child, his son Sam, with a former partner.
Eric is preceded in death by his parents, Damara and Jason, and is survived by his son, Sam.
